Today m sharing a post about a girl. A girl who is from Rawalpindi. She started her little business at home and now known as a well known artist. While exploring some accounts on Instagram i went through her profile and i loved the way she worked for herself for the people, for her friends and for her family 💗
I asked her that i want to write about her a blog post and she said why not 😃
So lets start:
About her:
My name is Yusra Yousaf and crafting or more specifically creating art was always within me from the very start. I remember back in my college days I used to send sorry cards to my classmates whenever we had a row or any severe argument. It was always my Sorry or Thankyou Card that made us people to reunite and my friends used to pass comments on me "tm apni zindagi mai anay walay bandy ko bhi cards de de k bat kia kro gi xD"
Thats how it started. At university level I had dreamt off taking this thing on serious note but that wasn't the right time for me or I had not courage to kick the start. Well time passed by I get into professional life but crafting was still in me and it came out at different intervals of time whether it was teaching at kinder garter level or flying or my 10 hours long daily job routine.
Initially at professional level after the encouragement and a huge support of one of friend i started making props and i was not that fond of cards. But later by practising these awesome and irresistible Handmade Card techniques I gave it a shot and that's when I came to know I can excel in this line a lot. As still there are lots of ideas that I haven't implemented and I am 100% sure it ll be superhit same like "the explosion box" and "things I love about you card". Even the photography, video editing and captions everything is done by me.
Artsy Craftsy is a complete ONE WOMAN SHOW. The only thing is the pricing as people here in our country hardly know the real value of art or handmade crafts. They just want things at their ease with minimal price or no price at all. In my opinion Handmade Art needs a lot of time and patience as well and inshaAllah sooner or later my time will come one day. Right now it's just a start.
